Situation

RSA Films was commissioned by Netflix to produce a docuseries on British pop icon Robbie Williams. To bring the project to life, they needed access to nearly 4,000 archival assets, stored across various legacy formats, with limited metadata. Identifying and digitizing the right content quickly and efficiently was a major challenge due to time constraints and budget considerations. Without a streamlined process, the production risked wasting resources on irrelevant material.

The range of these assets were vast, from hard drives to 30mm film, and all assets were pristinely archived and stored, meaning that even decades-old hard drives still worked!
